As 'the face' of Moore News, Simon Moore is a West Sussex-based freelance writer, reporter, journalist and editor.
He cut his teeth on showbiz journalism aged just 15-years-old, when he joined Hello! magazine as Editorial Assistant. He retained the role during the school holidays for the following three years.
Simon then secured work experience with the local press (Newsquest, publisher of the local Guardian), consumer press (Mens magazines Later and Esquire) and the national press (the Daily Star).
His first full-time position after graduating from Nottingham Trent University with a 2:1 (honours) in English was with Thomson Intermedia. Working as Precis News Writer, Simon composed and edited short business and international news stories for executives around the world.
Today, he serves two of the UK's leading specialist websites for professionals in the technology and creative media marketplaces, ContractorUK and FreelanceUK, as their editorial supplier.
Exclusive news stories Simon broke for these clients have made headlines on Computer World, Accountancy Age, The Register and CIO.co.uk. They have also been picked up by MailOnline, the biggest newspaper website in the world. And in terms of who reads Moore News, a news feature Simon composed in 2014 was quoted by a Baroness chairing an inquiry in the House of Lords.
At the time of writing, Moore News' clients and writing credits include ContractorUK, FreelanceUK, Technojobs.co.uk, Kingston Smith LLP, Independence Educational Publishers, No To Retro Tax, The Big Idea and Hydrogen International Ltd.
Meanwhile, news pieces by Simon and the company have been referred to or hyperlinked by respected business organisations, including the Cranfield School of Management, INSEAD and the London School of Economics.
